Amazing, fresh, tasty local, organic fare. Found by accident but worth the visit. Passionate people, great service. Much gluten free choice if looking for low carb options.
Probably would be a 3 star if this were a bit cheaper. We came here on multiple recommendations, but it seems people enjoy the ambiance more than the food. The ambiance is honestly very nice. Wrap around patio, expansive garden, views of the mountains make this a beautiful place to relax and hang out.If you come for a meal though, you may find the food overpriced and only average quality.
A Taos oasis well worth the visit just for the grounds, featuring the freshest of local everything. Absolutely fantastic.
During a short stay in Taos, the dinner here was so great that we returned the next morning for breakfast!
Spent all day at this place. Good food. Good people. Good views. Thank you
Great!!! Awesome food, beautiful atmosphere, and wonderful setting. Food is exceptional!!! Just the type of experience one looks forward to returning to!!!
This is a delightful little restaurant local to Taos. Set back off of the street in a small nook. Very peaceful place with many shops around to visit after you eat. This restaurant has fantastic food all around. You will find something for everyone. Their menu includes breakfast, burgers, quiche, lamb, pot pies, Waldorf chicken salads and superb desserts. The 3 layer torte was ah-mazing!! But the carrot cake, flourless chocolate cake, key lime pie is also a perfect indulgent treat! Enjoy!
Farmhouse Cafe had great organic homemade food. There is an amazing patio with waterfall ponds, tress and flowers with great views of the mountains.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Love how they have their own garden.
We were in Taos for the holidays and decided to visit Farmhouse Cafe and Bakery near Overland Sheepskin Company in El Prado. The drinks were delicious and the views of the Sangre de Christo Mountains was amazing. I hope we can return before we leave town. There is a country store and plenty of free parking.
Great food. Great service. Lovely setting. Covid-friendly.
Yummy organic food! Would recommend this place anytime .. had the pancakes and my husband had the bison burger, very fresh.😘😁
I had the turkey sandwich which was very good. My girlfriend had a burger which was very good. The potato salad is good but the home fries are a bit mealy. The iced tea was also very weak. Overall very good.
Friendly local farm to table eatery. The price is perfect, the flavor is great, and the service is from the heart. We wondered upon the place because it looked interesting from the road and we are glad. The surrounding landscaping has ponds and unique lawn ornaments. Makes the atmosphere nice and relaxing.
Prompt, efficient service. Interesting surroundings. Partner had the empanadas, tasty, maybe a bit dry...could have used a gravy or mole. My chicken enchiladas were very tasty, more of a casserole however. Nice side salad with both, a good dressing but too scanty & too thick. My biggest gripe would be the beans with my dish...CANNED. If you cannot slow cook some pintos, befitting your name & your website hype, just leave them off!! Really offensive. Sides matter.
Not friendly to Hispanic! Entered sat and waited. White customers arrived FIVE plus minutes AFTER we did. They sat and were waited/attended to immediately. *** Left restaurant and will NOT return!!
Absolutely love this restaurant in Taos! I’ve visited with my husband twice at the end of Labor Day weekend the past two years and both times it was excellent. Outdoor dining in late summer is a beautiful experience. The food is wonderful and made with love. My favorite thing is the chai latte which is served with a pitcher of honey so you can sweeten it to your liking.
Excellent!!! We started with an almond croissant which was delicious and flakey. I had the quiche of the day and my wife had the Shepard's pie. Highly recommend this place!
The Zia break, made with beans to substitute the eggs outs was delicious at $12.95
Nice Cafe. Fresh salad. Good burgers and sandwiches.
Great farm-fresh breakfast
Remarkable and memorable breakfast stop on our way home from Santa Fe passing through Taos. Delightful! The Cool Breeze sitting outside in the shade of the big trees with wonderful art all about us...
Fresh local produce and food. Great real chai latte made the traditional way with spices and tea not syrup. Food is always good and service is friendly and helpful, they always seem to be smiling! Try the quiche of the day or the specialty coffees and teas, you won't be disappointed. Oh and you can't have a cuter more homey vibe with great views outside.
I ordered the farmhouse breakfast. It was cooked exactly to order. The bread is made fresh in-house. Delicious. Light and flakey. Will return again.
Delicious, I can't believe I have been driving past this gem for years, hidden behind Outfitters.
A wonderful find on the north end of Taos, (actually El Prado). It is considered a farm to table restaurant. Our food was outstanding. The ambiance was cozy with lots of windows and wonderful art on the walls. The odd contraption in the photo is an apple cider press. Our servers were friendly and knowledgeable not only about the restaurant but the area.
Taos' best spot for lunch Had an amazing lunch. My wife had the featured entree an avocado and asparagus eggs benedict. I had their breakfast burrito and my cousin had the lamb shepherds pie. All of the food was excellent. I highly recommend stopping for lunch. They even gave us iced tea to go. The views of the surrounding mountains are also worth the stop.
A cute botanical oasis with delicious fresh food and wonderful staff. I ordered the zia breakfast with poached eggs, asparagus, sauteed kale with veggies, avocado with a side of bacon. The service was super quick and my dog was more than welcome. The farmhouse cafe is nestled behind the garden of a group of shops off the main road, look for the overland ranch sign to see the driveway to the parking lot.
Good coffee, nice breakfast, wonderful staff! Will definitely be back!
Wow. Farmhouse Cafe and Bakery was truly one of the best dining experiences I can remember. And I say that even in the face of these crazy pandemic times we now live in.The view from the back porch was just as majestic as that burger!!Small local restaurants/businesses like Farmhouse Cafe are beautiful examples of beautiful people, make FANTASTIC food, and supporting local farmers. Everyone should stop by here for lunch!Thank you thank you!! I will for sure be back.
What a beautiful place ticked away at the north of Taos. It serves organic food that is very tasty in a warm and friendly environment. There's a mix of sandwiches, salads, burgers, cakes, breakfasts and loads more, with ingredients sourced from local farms (listed). There's gorgeous photography on the walls by local photographers and also a small farm shop. Well worth the trip out.
Great food and the price is right. Service was fantastic!!
Today is the 2nd day we have had brunch at The Farmhouse. We will be back tomorrow. Best food in Taos without a doubt! Expect to wait but it’s worth it! Their breakfasts are terrific as well as the quiche and chicken pot pie.
This lovely cafe on the north end of Taos uses all local produce and meat. They have gluten free and vegan options including a savory squash pie. I love the chicken enchiladas with red and green. Great bakery items including a few gluten free desserts made in house. Indoor and outdoor seating next to several galleries and shops. Ample parking and family friendly. This is quality local dining at its best!
Great breakfast selection and coffee!
Great place loved the food and friendly service. Bison empanada and vegetable quiche. Loved the outside seating on the wrap around porch. Among the restaurant are some really unique stores for shopping as well.
One of the best brunch spots around. Their eggs Benedict is superb- thick and creamy sauce on supple yolks on homemade bread. I tried a mushroom shepherd’s pie today, flavorful and filling. Side salad could’ve used some dressing though. The gravy here is also top notch, a side of it pairs well with almost anything here. Oh, and above average restaurant coffee too!
Everything is here but the flavor! I first tried an egg dish from here that had absolutely no flavor whatsoever. Then the other day I got the mushroom pot pie which had nothing but a mild one note Rosemary flavor. The ambience is great, the ingredients are high-quality but it just doesn’t taste like much of anything. Pretty close to being an amazing restaurant if they could tweak the recipes. The service is pretty subpar as well.
Great place. Good food.
Great service and even better food
Nice staff, great outdoor experience. Food is tasty and lots of GF options for my wife.
Wonderful breakfast and received some tips for places to visit in the area from my server. Very hospitable, and the little store in the back has plenty of local goodies.
Healthy tasty food. Good service. Can be expensive
The workers in the cafe made my friend and I feel instantly welcomed. They were all so friendly and actually enjoyed being at work. The menu had plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options. Bonus! The green and red chili were both vegetarian, which is never the case. The pancakes were tasty and unique. The coffee selections are what you’d expect from a coffee shop. The desserts were extravagant and delicious!! Our food came out in good time. For the food to be local , the prices were great. However, the lady in the shop that’s attached could learn some hospitality from the workers in the restaurant. Unless it’s too painful to smile and say hello. Overall, I’d return to the cafe, not the store.
Best home made granola! I buy a bag every time we are in Taos.
Over priced, slow service and not quite cold but not hot either.Unimpressive.After having spent $50+ I would have enjoyed McDonald better. To check the bakery I had a peach empanad and after asking for it to be warmed up it as also slow coming and barely warm as well.
Did not enjoy our experience
Great food, great service, friendly people. Pricing may be a LITTLE high, but does not deter 5 stars. Breakfast is served all day and that's what we both had. Would definitely recommend if you're here or passing through.
This is the best place to eat in Taos, New Mexico for those of us with food sensitivities. Many organic options and choices. Try their Jamaica Tea. It is delicious. Desserts are tasty and most are Gluten free.😊👍
Great food! The portions are very generous. 😊
